About Jim
Jim has been coaching at Google since 2020, providing life, career, and manager coaching to dozens of Google leaders and individual contributors, helping them navigate the challenges of life and career and help them grow, thrive, and succeed.
Jim earned his M.S. in Organizational Leadership and completed a career in the U.S. Air Force retiring as a senior leader. A career technologist with a servant leadership bias, Jim has experienced a variety of organizational cultures, including defense contractors, state government, and technology startups, and completing his traditional career at one of the world's most admired companies.

Q. How can the coaching experience be made more economical?
A. Hourly sessions allow you to invest in coaching in individually-managed chunks and might be appropriate while you and Jim establish rapport and develop a mutually-agreed-upon coaching cadence. After that you will find the 5-session package a better value, and the one-year package an even better value to have access to Jim's coaching services.
Q. Can a single coaching session solve my problem?
A. Personal and professional growth is, by definition, a journey. Coaching can be an asset in your growth journey and typically works best when a longer-term connection is in place. All that said, it is not uncommon for clients to have those early epiphanies and "wow" breakthroughs that can help them quickly. But just like a baseball team, having the coach exit the team after spring training and before the season starts can stall the progress of that growth journey.
